Delete my account and data
You can delete your My Cat Panion account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and both remove the same things.
Option 1: in the app (fastest)
- Open My Cat Panion and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Read the confirmation and choose Delete everything.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You will be signed out and returned to the login screen.
Careful: there are two similar options
The Settings screen has two red options and they do different things:

| Delete my data | Erases your cat profiles, records, and progress from your account and every device, but keeps your login. You stay signed up and can start fresh. |
| Delete account | Erases everything above and your account itself. You will no longer be able to sign in with that email. This is the one to use for a full deletion request. |
Option 2: by email
If you cannot get into the app, email zac.r22@gmail.com from the email address on the account, with the subject line DELETE MY ACCOUNT. We will verify that the request comes from the account address and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within a few days. We will email you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Every cat profile you created, including name, breed, age, and photo.
- All care records: weights, medications, vitals, nutrition, grooming, vet visits, vaccinations, home exams, moods, behavior logs, vet notes, memories, training notes, insurance details, and microchip information.
- Health Photos and any images attached to your records.
- Your lesson and course progress, quiz history, daily trivia activity, daily goals, and streaks.
- Your subscription status record held in our database.
These are removed together. Your data rows are tied to your account and are removed with it.
What is not deleted, and why
- Your subscription itself. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel a subscription and does not issue a refund. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings, otherwise it keeps renewing. Do that first.
- Records we are legally required to keep. For example transaction records needed for tax or accounting. These do not include your cat records.
- Short-lived technical logs held by our service providers as part of their normal operations, which age out on their own schedules.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Removing My Cat Panion from your phone does not delete your account or the data stored with it. Use one of the two options above.
